From a life of medicine to a life of natural...it's never too late to make the change.

For the better part of my life I've worked in the medical field. Ultimately I spent years working at a pharmacy, watching customers come in with side effects and being prescribed meds that really weren't needed. These days you don't hear much about doctors prescribing vitamins or working with patients on how to improve their lifestyle so they can avoid illness for the most part.

Now don't get me wrong. I'm by no means saying that prescribed medications should be obsolete. I'm just saying that in some cases there are often alternatives that people just aren't aware of because, lets face it, doctors don't make money dealing in health. They make it from repeat customers.

After leaving the pharmacy I made the choice that when possible I would try using vitamins and natural remedies to help my family and myself stay healthy. I learned as much as I could absorb about all the different benefits of all the different vitamins. Lord were there plenty! LOL But each one had so many benefits.

I realized something...in a perfect world we would all eat healthy, stay physically active and get outside and get some sunlight everyday. If we all did that we would naturally have all of the vitamins we needed and be relatively healthy. But with todays stress and well...just life, that's not always possible. And I get that completely. Trust me, as a mom of 4 I get stress and hiding in the bathroom at 1:00 am eating the last chocolate chip cookie really can be a daily battle.

Knowing that, I decided then that not only did I want to be able to help my family have healthier, less chemical filled options in the things they take and use daily, but I also wanted to be able to help my friends, all of you, have those same options for you and your families at affordable prices.

So here I am, almost a year later. I've spent countless hours formulating the products on my site and bunches that I'm still working on. I did my best to keep them as free from all the ick as possible. Some ingredients just couldn't be avoided but I always made sure that if it was something that was necessary that it was still ultimately safe (well unless you were to eat ten pounds of that particular ingredient lol) So I really do hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

After releasing my soap and wax melt line I realized that I wanted to delve even deeper into natural remedies. Holistic ones. Tinctures and elixirs and syrups...all made from the most natural ingredients. Herbs and spices and all the good things. So now I'm learning. Spending late nights reading up on what's what and what helps with different things. And I thought that maybe as I learn I can share it all with you so we can learn together...if that's your thing of course. I'll post here weekly and I really do hope that you enjoy it and take lots out of it. I might also post in between here and there with killer recipes that I think my mom friends would like or the occasional random post about other things I think are relevant.

Thank you for sticking with me this far. I really am excited for all of this! And I hope that you are too!
